Plastic Packaging Tax

What it is:

From 1st April 2023 any plastic products which contain less than 30% recycled post-consumer waste will be liable for the plastic packaging tax at £210.82/tonne.

How we can help:

Keeping in line with our sustainability goals, we have already been offering polythene with recycled content before the tax was implemented. However, due to the introduction of the tax, we have trialed different blends of material to be able to offer recycled material inclusion on majority of our products.

 How you can help:

As the recycled content must be from post-consumer waste (PCW), any packaging materials we supply to you, if stored correctly and contamination free, if you advise of quantity we can collect, recycle and re-use to create a closed loop system. Please speak with a member of the team if this is something you’d be interested in.

Recycling

Here at ASK Plastics, we take great pride in keeping our waste levels to an absolute minimum. In some instances, we even buy back used or scrap polythene - if you're interested in finding out more, speak to your sales representative. We also offer biodegradable additives, ensuring we maintain the lowest carbon footprint possible.

Greener Options

Here at ASK we care about the environment, that is why anything that can be recycled, will be and is recycled. Everything from plastics cups, shredded paper, boxes, cores and even polythene its self is recycled and reused in our processes.
